We stayed in the Angus, large terrace with hot tub. Now we know restaurants have first of all been forced to close and since had their opening times restricted. This could well be a COVID related reality that costs have to covered but to justify this the food has got to be exceptional and it wasn’t. It was a nicely cooked and generous piece of fish that was wrapped in a pancake filled with crabmeat and perfumed by the herbs. Ended up having the set menu for lunch and the food, whilst good, wasn't special. The broccoli, like the courgette that accompanied the starter, was so undercooked it was difficult to actually spear it with a fork. The duck and Hake were both cooked perfectly. Local cuisine, British, Pub, Gastropub, Vegetarian Friendly, Vegan Options. The less good things: So we were able to nip in with less than two weeks notice to have a go.
